Your baby's height (cm): ℹ️
Measuring the height of a newborn baby is simple, just take a tape measure (a tape with divisions in centimeters from 0 to 100 cm) and place the baby on a hard, flat surface, such as a changing table. Place the tape on the table to the side of the baby, and with your free hands gently press the legs to the table so that they are stretched out as much as possible. І

1. Fuse the front facing and back neckline facing with interfacing. Fuse the area for buttonholes on the hood. Fuse the seam allowance along the front edge under the zipper.

2. Attach the side hood piece to the center hood piece and overlock the seams. Topstitch the seam allowances onto the center piece. Mark the buttonhole positions and sew the buttonholes on the hood. Fold the outer hood allowance to the wrong side, turn under, and topstitch onto the hood.

3. Place the front pieces right sides together and align the edges, measuring the length of the front edges. Attach the zipper to the front edge.

4. Sew the shoulder seams of the hoodie. Overlock the seams and press them toward the back.

5. Sew the shoulder seams of the facing and front facing pieces. Overlock the outer edges of the facings. Place the front facing onto the right side of the front piece, right sides together, and stitch along the front edge and neckline, inserting the hood between them. Stitching is done from the front side. Clip the seam allowances at curved areas. Turn the facing to the wrong side and press. Topstitch along the front edge 0.5 cm from the zipper.

6. Set in the sleeves into the open armholes. Sew and overlock the side seams and sleeve seams simultaneously.

7. Sew the cuff into a ring, leaving an opening for the elastic. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right side out, and attach it to the sleeve. Overlock the seam.

8. Sew the side seams of the lower back and front pieces. Press the seams open. Attach the upper edge of the lower front piece to the hoodie. Finish the corners of the lower piece. Turn under the inner edge and topstitch it into the upper seam.

9. On the lower front pieces, place the snaps according to the markings (depending on the child’s gender, the top part of the snap may be on the left or right side). Insert the cord into the hood buttonholes and attach the cord ends. Insert elastic into the cuffs and secure it.
