Jacket sewing pattern model 44701 (Product code: 44701)

Recommended fabrics for sewing the jacket with this pattern: faux fur, faux leather.

You will also need: lining fabric; fusible interfacing; 1 separating zipper.

Add seam allowances to the pattern: all seams 1.5 cm.

Cutting:

From faux fur:

1. Back sleeve part – 2 pieces

2. Front sleeve part – 2 pieces

3. Back – 1 piece

4. Front – 2 pieces

5. Hood – 2 pieces

From faux leather:

1. Back placket – 1 piece

2. Lower front placket – 2 pieces

3. Front placket – 4 pieces

4. Hood placket – 1 piece

5. Cuff – 2 pieces

6. Facing – 2 pieces

From lining fabric:

1. Back sleeve part – 2 pieces

2. Front sleeve part – 2 pieces

3. Back – 1 piece

4. Front – 2 pieces

5. Hood – 2 pieces

6. Upper pocket bag – 2 pieces

7. Lower pocket bag – 2 pieces

From fusible interfacing:

1. Back placket – 1 piece

2. Lower front placket – 2 pieces

3. Front placket – 4 pieces

4. Hood placket – 1 piece

5. Cuff – 2 pieces

Attention: before fusing pieces from faux leather, test on a scrap.

When stitching pieces, pay attention to notches — they must match!

1. Fuse faux leather pieces with interfacing.

2. Stitch the bust dart on the front pieces.

3. Attach the facing to the lower pocket bag. Place the pocket bag with facing on the back along the notches, place the upper pocket bag on the front right side down and stitch. Press seam and topstitch onto the pocket bag.

4. Attach the front sleeve part to the front. Attach the back sleeve part to the back.

5. Stitch shoulder seams together with upper sleeve seams.

6. Press cuff lengthwise with right side out. Attach upper cuff to lower sleeve edge.

7. Stitch sleeve hem and side seam together with pocket bags in one seam.

8. Attach lower front plackets to lower back placket. Press plackets lengthwise with right side out. Attach upper placket to lower edge of jacket.

9. Attach zipper to edges of outer front plackets. Attach plackets to front edges up to hem allowance.

10. Stitch center seam of hood. Press hood placket lengthwise with right side out. Attach upper placket to outer hood edge. Fold placket lengthwise right sides together and stitch lower corners, leaving seam allowance of inner edge free. Trim corners, turn placket right side out.

11. Sew hood into neckline of jacket.

12. Stitch lining pieces same as outer pieces, leaving opening in lower seam of left sleeve for turning. Attach lining to lower placket edge, right sides together. Attach inner front plackets to lining edges up to hem allowance.

13. Place lining and jacket right sides together and stitch lower corner of front placket, front edge, inner hood edge. Stitch lining to sleeve hem. Turn jacket right side out through sleeve opening. Secure lining to garment along hood center seam, hood placket, hood seam, cuff, lower placket. Close sleeve opening.

14. Topstitch along zipper for reinforcement.
