Sewing the trousers

  1. Preparing pieces: Cut front and back panels, waistband, fly, pocket, gusset and belt loops.
    Reminder: the pattern has no seam allowances, so add 1 cm to all seams and 3 cm to the trouser hem.
  2. Sew the patch pocket onto the right front panel.
  3. Stitch side seams and inseams.
  4. Finish the fly and make button closure.
  5. Assemble the waistband and attach to the trousers.
  6. Sew belt loops.
  7. Finish trouser hem and reinforce inner seams with cotton overlays.

Sewing the jacket

  1. Preparing pieces: Cut front panels, back, sleeves (upper and lower), collar, stand, facing and pockets.
    Reminder: add 1 cm seam allowances, and 3 cm to jacket hem and sleeve hems.
  2. Sew pockets into side seams and attach chest patch pocket.
  3. Join front panels with back at shoulder and side seams.
  4. Sew upper and lower sleeve parts, set in sleeves.
  5. Assemble collar with stand and attach to neckline.
  6. Make central hidden button closure.
  7. Finish jacket hem and sleeves, reinforce collar with cotton overlay.
