Pay attention to the notches – they must align!

1. Fuse the faux leather pieces with interfacing.

2. Place the strap pieces right sides together and stitch along 3 sides. Trim seam allowances close to the seam. Turn straps right side out, press, and topstitch 0.1 cm from the seam line.

3. Press the right placket along the fold line. Place the outer and inner right placket pieces right sides together, insert the zipper between them with teeth facing away from the edge. Stitch plackets together while attaching the right edge of the zipper. Fold the inner placket, aligning edges to form an overlay placket. Topstitch seam allowances onto the inner placket. Assemble the left placket similarly with the left zipper edge. Stitch along top and bottom edges. Turn pieces right side out and topstitch 0.1 cm and 0.7 cm from edges.

4. Insert strap ends into snap hooks for 3 cm and stitch. Do the same with straps and rings. Pin straps with hooks to the right placket, straps with rings to the left placket. Close zipper, attach hooks to rings, align strap lengths. Stitch strap ends to placket edges. Open zipper and continue treating plackets as two separate pieces.

5. Sew bust darts on front pieces.

6. Attach front sleeve pieces to the front. Attach back sleeve pieces to the back.

7. Sew shoulder seams together with upper sleeve seams.

8. Sew sleeve underseam and side seam in one continuous stitch.

9. Press cuff in half with right side out. Unfold, stitch into a ring right sides together. Turn cuff, press seam open. Attach cuff to sleeve hem.

10. Fold belt loop in three layers and stitch. Cut into 2 pieces.

11. Attach lower front plackets to lower back placket. Press seams open. Sew lower ends of belt loops to side seams of outer plackets as marked. Attach upper ends of loops to top edge of plackets.

12. Sew a gathering stitch along jacket hem with loose tension and slightly gather. Attach outer plackets to jacket hem.

13. Assemble lining pieces same as outer pieces, leaving an opening in left sleeve seam for turning. Attach lining to inner placket pieces.

14. Sew upper collar to jacket neckline. Sew lower collar to lining neckline. Press seams open.

15. Place lining and jacket right sides together, insert plackets between, stitch along front edge, collar, and hem. Sew lining to sleeve hem. Turn jacket right side out through sleeve opening. Close sleeve opening.

16. Topstitch along seam attaching lower plackets to back and front, and along hemline.

17. Fold belt in half right sides together, stitch along three sides leaving 7–10 cm opening in long side. Turn belt, press. Topstitch 0.5 cm from edge, closing opening. Insert buckle.
