When joining the pieces, pay attention to the notches – they must match.
1. Reinforce the skirt facings with fusible interfacing.
2. Assemble the front panel: stitch the insert to the side part of the skirt. Finish the seam, press it towards the side part, and topstitch.
3. Join the upper and middle parts of the skirt. Finish the seam, press it towards the upper part, and topstitch.
4. Join the middle and side parts of the skirt. Finish the seam, press it towards the middle part, and topstitch.
5. Assemble the back panel in the same way as the front panel.
6. Finish the left side edge. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper mark downwards. Press the seam open, pressing the allowance for the zipper. Place the invisible zipper under the allowances and stitch so that the teeth are not visible.
7. Stitch and finish the right side seam of the skirt. Press the seam towards the back.
8. Stitch and press open the side seam of the facings. Finish the lower edge. Place the facings with the upper edge of the skirt, right sides together, and stitch. Understitch the seam allowance onto the facings 0.2 cm from the seam. Turn the facings to the wrong side and press.
9. Press the hem allowance of the skirt to the wrong side, fold, and stitch.
