When stitching pieces together, pay attention to the notches – they must match!

1. Stitch the darts on the back pieces. Press the darts toward the center.

2. Stitch the center back seam. Press the seam to the left side and overlock.

3. Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the blouse. Overlock the shoulder and side seams. Press them toward the back.

4. Stitch the ruffle pieces in pairs along the short edges. Press the seams open. Fold the ruffle pieces lengthwise, right side out, and press. Along the edge, 0.5 cm from the cut, sew a row of loose stitches. Gather the ruffles to match the neckline and front edge length, distributing the gathers evenly.

5. Cut the thread loops. To do this, cut a bias strip of fabric 2–3 cm wide. Fold it lengthwise, right sides together. Stitch along the fold with a seam width of 0.3–0.4 cm, widening to 0.5–0.7 cm at the end. Trim the seam allowance to 0.3–0.6 cm. Turn the cord right side out using a needle with thick thread. The cord should be firm throughout. Cut into 6 pieces, each 5 cm long.

6. Mark the placement of loops along the front edge: 1.5 cm below the neckline, 1.5 cm above the hem, and midway between. Baste the ruffle to the front. Fold the cord pieces in half and place them on the ruffle according to the markings, right side up, aligning edges. Secure ends with machine stitching.

7. Attach two ruffles to the front edge and neckline of the front and back. Finish the seam with bias binding.

8. Clip the armhole at the notches. Place the bias binding right sides together with the lower armhole and stitch. Press the binding to the wrong side, forming a piping. Topstitch the fold of the binding to the armhole with a 0.1 cm seam.

9. Press the sleeve hem allowance to the wrong side, fold, and topstitch. Set in the sleeve into the upper armhole. Overlock the seam.

10. Overlock the hem of the garment with a narrow rolled hem.

11. Cut a tie of desired length and 4 cm wide. Press it lengthwise, right side out. Then unfold and press the long edges to the center line. Fold along the center, aligning folds, and topstitch at 0.1 cm. Thread the tie through the loops.
