When sewing the pieces, pay attention to the notches – they must match.
1. Reinforce the neckline facings of the back and front with fusible interfacing.
2. Stitch and overlock the princess seams of the front and back. Press the front seams toward the center front, and the back seams toward the center back.
3. Overlock the center back edges. Press them to the wrong side. Place the invisible zipper under the seam allowances so that the teeth are hidden, and stitch.
4. Attach the back yoke to the upper part. Overlock the seam allowance and press it toward the yoke. Attach the front yoke to the upper part. Overlock the seam allowance and press it toward the yoke.
5. Stitch and overlock the side and shoulder seams of the dress. Press the shoulder and side seams toward the back.
6. Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings. Place the facing to the neckline right sides together and stitch. Clip the seam at the curves, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.
7. Clip the armhole along the notches. Cut a bias tape 4 cm wide and the length equal to the lower part of the armhole. Press the bias tape in half lengthwise, right side out. Place the bias tape right sides together with the lower part of the armhole and stitch. Turn the bias tape to the wrong side. Topstitch the seam allowance onto the bias tape with a 0.1 cm seam.
8. Press the sleeve hem allowance to the wrong side, fold and topstitch. Set in the sleeve into the upper part of the armhole. Overlock the seam.
9. Stitch the back center seam of the skirt. Press the seam allowances open and overlock.
10. Press the hem allowance of the skirt to the wrong side, fold and topstitch.
11. Make and press pleats on the skirt panel according to the pattern instructions.
12. Attach the skirt to the yoke. Overlock the seam and press upward.
